Condition

Overall in very good condition. The oak surfaces of the beam appear to retain their original finish, with some occasional light surface scratches, minor edge wear, and a small black paint mark (approximately 1 1/2 inches long at the center of the beam) consistent with age and gentle use. As expected, there are some surface abrasions and discoloration around the beam apertures which receive the ceiling bolts. The copper lanterns, beam plates, and wrought iron chains all appear to be original and undisturbed. The copper lanterns and beam plates with some occasional light surface scratches, gentle rubbing, and surface soling throughout. The copper support arms which hold each glass shade with some occasional irregular bending. The central lantern with a small area of surface oxidation and discoloration located at the rivets above one shade support. The wrought iron chains with light surface corrosion consistent with age. The three glass shades all appear to be period and show good consistency in color. All are in very good condition with no visible condition issues. With four ceiling bolts (which appear to be original). A beautiful example of this exceedingly rare beam fixture in remarkably intact original condition.
