Description

  • 187cm. high, 170cm. wide, 74cm. deep
the protruding cornice above an acanthus scrolled frieze flanked and divided by male and female masks, above two panelled doors depicting allegorical figures of Faith and Charity, interposed by male figures, the lower two doors depicting allegorical figures of Hope, Fortitude, Justice and Prudence, flanked and divided by allegorical male and female terms, above one long drawer centred and flanked by lion's heads, raised on ball and stile feet

Condition

In overall good condition, with the inevitable minor dents, marks and scratches due age and use. Few minor wood losses. Some minor dryness cracks to the mouldings and panels. Top left side moulding partly loose. Back feet slightly affected by wood worm, right front foot with dryness crack. Ball feet possibly later. Attractive patina.
