Condition

Colour: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although the paper tone tends more towards cream in the original. Condition: This work is in very good condition. The sheet is securely hinged to the backing board in places along all four edges. All four edges are deckled. There are minute staple holes in the corners of the sheet, as well as at intervals along the edges of the composition. There is a light undulation to the paper, inherent to the artist's choice of medium. The edges of the collaged elements are lifting, though remain in stable condition. There is a discoloured ark of glue residue visible beneath the upper right of the central collaged element. There is a pale brown water mark above the centre of the bottom edge, extending up to the dry lake. There are scattered specks of paint and faint handling marks to the white sheet, all of which appear to be original to the work's execution.
