Colour: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although the overall tonality is softer and warmer in the original. Condition: This work is in very good condition. Close inspection of the acetate under raking light reveals scattered tiny indentations, light isolated finger marks, as well as some fine scratches (most notably one above the left section of the bottom edge, one to the figure's neck, and one to the top of the figure's head). There are minute specks of dust beneath the acetate in places, most notably to the black of the figure's jacket as well as to the lower left quadrant of the red paper fragment. There are scattered spots of discolouration to the signed blue fragment, as well as repaired tears to its lower right, upper right and right hand edges. There is light discolouration to the white backing board; as well as to the edges of the horizontal white band (all hidden beneath the mount) where there are scattered shallow handling creases.
