Condition

Colour: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although the darker blue is much brighter and the paler blue is slightly softer in the original. Condition: This work is in very good condition. There is some light paint residue adhering to the underside of the glass in few isolated places. There are a few fine isolated drying cracks in a few places to the pale blue paint. No restoration is apparent when examined under ultra-violet light.

Catalogue Note

"For Valdes painting is not something that is added to existence but rather its culmination. His works are not commentaries on the works of others but rather plastic experiences that motivated and originated them."
