Condition

This condition report has been provided by Jane McAusland FIIC, Conservator and Restorer of Art on Paper, Nether Hall Barn, Old Newton, Nr Stowmarket, Suffolk IP14. Support This large drawing is on a sheet of thick Japanese type paper. The condition is good. The sheet is somewhat time stained, has a light mount stain showing at the foot and two creases in the paper (probably original) a the foot centre. There is a little surface dirt, and four fox marks that have been covered on the recto with pastel to disguise them. The top edge is a little uneven and there are four nicks at the foot edge caused by framing nails. At present the sheet is hinged into a mount. Medium The medium is fresh and bright, untouched, and in a good condition. Note: This work was viewed outside studio conditions.
