Condition

There is a chip to the enamel border at the tip of the handle of the kovsh. Minor chips are evident to the leaf at the back of the kovsh, to the green background at the left-hand tip of the imperial eagle wing, to the right hand beak of the imperial eagle. There are further less significant and very minor spots of enamel loss in places. There is possibly an area of restoration to the enamel at the back of the kovsh and underside, the scroll to the left of the central leaf, but UV light does not reveal any obvious areas of restoration. The gilding appears to be original, lightly worn, but in overall good condition. The kovsh will benefit from a professional clean.
