Description

the twenty four row seed pearl choker with four rose diamond spacers in between, length approximately 32 cm.

Provenance

Anna Comtesse Tascher de la Pagerie (1816-1897), her grandfather Louis Comte Tascher de la Pagerie was the cousin to Empress Josephine and like her also born in Martinique. She married in 1847 Maximilian Freiherr von Gise auf Teublitz (1817-1890); thence by descent to her granddaughter Marie Countess von Deym (1873-1963)

Condition

Larger than illustrated. Seed pearls have not been tested, well matched of a cream colour with a medium to high lustre, slightly off round. Generally in good condition, as the seed pearls are strung on silk it should be checked on a regular basis. Length approximately 32 cm, with safety catches to the clasp. Stamped 950 for platinum and 750 for 18 carat gold.
