Catalogue Note

In 1948-49, the surrealist painter Christian d'Orgeix assisted Bellmer in producing this edition of 'Les Jeux de la Poupée' by hand-colouring the silver prints mounted in the whole edition. The book offered here is d'Orgeix's personal copy. Accompanying the book is a small lithograph on a double sheet signed by Hans Bellmer and inscribed 'épreuve d'essai'.
