The catalogue illustrations are representative of the paintings. The canvasses have been relined and they are offered in two differently shaped wood and plaster guilt XIX Century frames. The paint surface has become slightly abraded, particularly in the sky, and here and there the red basis surfaces. Inspection under ultra-violet light reveals on the painting with the Redentore some restoration in the sky, some strengthenings in the shadings and restoration along the upper and left margins - as the catalogue illustration suggests as well - and only some strengthenings in the shadings on the painting with the Rialto bridge.
