The canvasses have been relined and they are mounted in wood and plaster guilt XIX Century frames. To the naked eye restoration can be found in the sky of both of the paintings, as the catalogue illustrations suggest as well, but the architectures and the figures seem to be well preserved. Inspection under ultra-violet light confirms the afore-mentioned restoration in the sky and reveals only slight pictorial strengthenings in the shadings of the architectures, waters and figures.
