Anonymous sale ("Da una dimora di Piazza Farnese"), Sotheby's, Rome, 18 May 2004, lot 500, for €30,000.

"The following condition report has been provided by Henry Gentle, an independent restorer who is not an employee of Sotheby's. The canvas is unlined, there is a loss of tension and as a result stretcher marks are visible. The paint is raised and unstable with recent minor losses to the lower left and right, and here and there across the surface. Generally, in an original and untouched condition with a very degraded and discoloured varnish. The colours would re-saturate well. Offered in a plain wood and gilt frame with some losses."
