Etching, 1934, a richly inked impression, first state (of two), signed and dated in pencil, numbered 23/30, published on R. M. Fabriano wove paper with the Umbria Italia watermark, with wide margins, in good condition apart from a thinned spot in the lower right margin, a few short tears at the upper sheet edge at center and right, pale light-staining

Condition

The print is in good condition as catalogued. The signature and numbering are very slightly faded. The thinned spot at lower right margin has slight associated discoloration, and additional thinned spots are visible in the other margins when the sheet is held up to light. The tear at upper sheet edge center measures circa 5mm, with shorter nicks and tears at right and left sheet corners; all have associated skinning verso. The paper tone has slightly darkened overall due to exposure to light. There is a dark fox mark in the image verso, not showing through to the recto. Occasional handling creases are visible only in raking light.
