Catalogue Note

Hella Jongerius represents the bold and dynamic creativity thriving in Holland today.  Her versatility is outstanding, combining ceramics with a variety of unlikely, strange and unfashionable materials.  With Jongerius there are no holds barred.  Her work exemplifies the meaning of design art, from mass production (IKEA and Vitra) to one-off pieces of exquisite beauty represented by these monumental pots.
