Sapphire and diamond pendant

Set at the centre with a cushion-shaped sapphire, within an open work frame of stylised floral design set with cushion-shaped and rose-cut diamonds, the pendant fitting set with single-cut stones. 

Metal tested as gold and silver, later rhodium plated. For further information on the sapphire please refer to the SSEF report. Sapphire estimated to weigh approximately 29.00 carats, a blue hue with medium saturation of colour, few typical crystal inclusions and minor scratches, minor nicks to facet edges. Total diamond weight approximately 6.00 carats (but difficult to assess to due many diamonds beeing rose-cut), mixed in quality. The upper part of the bail would need to be removed by a jeweller to be able to wear this jewel as a pendant. Signs of normal wear, scratches and discolouration to the reverse consistent with age and use, traces of soft solder. In good condition.
