Description

The insect with openwork wings set with 274 single-cut, old European-cut and round diamonds weighing approximately 18.00 carats, the body, wings and eyes accented with cabochon and round natural and synthetic rubies, mounted in platinum.

Condition

Good condition. The slightly purplish medium red rubies are eye-clean to lightly included. At least one faceted and one cabochon ruby appear to be synthetic. The 4 larger diamonds are approximately I-J-K color, VS clarity. The remaining diamonds are approximately H-I color, VS-SI clarity.
