Description
Designed as a graduated series of step-cut emeralds within scalloped frames of circular- and single-cut diamonds interspersed with foliate links each centring on a navette-shaped diamond, signed Cartier Paris made in France and numbered, French assay and maker's marks, length approximately 410mm detachable into three sections of approximately 225mm, 90mm and 80mm respectively, fitted case by CARTIER LONDON.
Condition
Stamped with French assay marks for platinum to tongue. Signed Cartier, made in France, Londres, Paris, New York, numbered 8448C. Step-cut emeralds graduated in size, finishing with two kite-shaped stones, varying saturations of colour, typical inclusions visible to the naked eye, some with surface reaching inclusions and cavities. Principal emerald measuring approximately 9.9 x 9.0 x 3.95mm, calculated to weigh approximately 2.39 carats. Estimated total diamond weight approximately 35.00 -45.00 carats, of mixed colours and clarities. (Please note some marquise diamonds are shallow.) Well articulated. Secure clasps, principal clasp with safety catch to one side. In very good condition.
