33-cm arched brass dial with wheatear border and chapter ring with Roman numerals, pierced blued hands and engraved alarm disc, season spandrels and signature plaque inscribed E. Hubert Amsterdam, subsidiary seconds and apertures for date and moonphase, anchor movement with rack Dutch half hour striking on alternating bells, alarm on the large bell, associated burr walnut veneered case with ogee sided top surmounted by a gilt wood Atlas and two angels, shaped cornice with carved ornament over the foliate pierced woden frets, brass capped corner columns flanking the glazed door, canted trunk with break arch door and Neptune lenticle, bombed base raised on claw feet, alarm weights lacking

Condition

dial a little tarnished, probably imported from England by the maker circa 1730, movement able to function but needs to be cleaned, strike/silent added, case of the second half of the 18th C of well figured wood, top of the hood distressed, frets dirty and some losses and damages, case with some losses to the veneer, together with to weights, pendulum 3 statuettes, doorkey, no winder, alarm weights lacking
