  • 276cm. high incl. atlas.
34-cm brass dial with engraved border, silvered chapter ring with Roman numerals signed Moses Samuels Amsterdam, pierced hands and engraved alarm disk, subsidiary seconds and apertures for day, date, month and moonphase, foliate pierced spandrels, anchor movement with trip repeating Dutch rack half hour striking, alternating bells, alarm on a single bell, associated burr walnut case with bell top, surmounted by an atlas and two angels, shaped cornice over foliate pierced front and side frets, canted trunk, long shaped door with foliate scrolled marquetry inlay, bombed base with similar inlay raised on claw feet

Condition

dial a little dirty, chapter ring a little tarnished, hour hand repaired, movement in working order but very dirty and in need of an overhaul, associated to the case but fitting fairly well and both of the same period, case in dirty original condition, doorlock lacking, top of hood replaced, marquetry inlay probably late 18th century (Louis XVI-style), base with a few shrinking cracks, angels lacking wings and trumpets, both with repairs, associated weights, together with four weights, three statues, a pendulum, a winder and a doorkey
