Description

  • 126cm. high.
27-cm enamel dial with Roman numerals signed Frederic Duval A Paris and finely engraved foliate pierced gilt hands, similarly signed countwheel bell striking anchor movement with silk suspended sunburst pendulum. waisted case adorned with polychrome flowers on a green ground, surmounted by an urn, throughout with gilt bronze foliate mounts, shaped base on scroll feet, together with a matching ogee shaped bracket

Condition

dial refinished and with two repairs (one near right winding hole and one under signature), one dial foot lacking, quality hands in good condition, movement in working order and good condition, no plugged holes that indicate an earlier verge escapement, case in slightly dirty condition, Vernis Martin in reasonable condition, gilding mostly there but possible regilt parts, together with a bracket, pendulum and winder
