Condition

Pile is generally good, closely sheared, near original, approximately 1/10 of an inch throughout. Some scattered areas of lower pile, with the largest being approximately 20 inches by 5 inches in upper right corner. Areas with lower pile can be distinguished by slightly blue-green color, particularly in yellow areas, as the blue wefts show through. Pile also lower in oxidized medium browns. Lower and upper end with remnants of original flatwoven finish and barber pole stitching. Sides overcast. Supple handle, highly lustrous wool, good overall condition, pleasing, complex design with unusual color palette, charming rows of stacked daisies around border, ready for use.
