Description

the circular barrel, octagonal at the breech, with flared oval muzzle chiselled with a cusped arch containing a bird and two confronted deer amid trees, the walnut stock profusely inlaid with ivory crescents, palmettes, micromosaic brass studs and piqué work, the lock with foliate gold overlay, butt with ivory plate and a band of horn and bone chevrons

Condition

In excellent overall condition, small diamond-shaped piece of ivory inlay missing at the breech on the left side, as viewed.
