Description

each of rectangular form worked in appliqué coloured wool flannel, with silk and metal thread embroidery and foiled glass jewels with pressed metal sequins and intricate details, lined in cotton drill, depicting a pair of elegant figures in Indian courtly dress framed within elaborate floral borders with undulating scrolls and small figural vignettes of Europeans distinguished by their dress, outer borders of floral repeats

Condition

Both in good overall condition, with small replacement areas to each to the middle section at the sides, one with some losses to the border flowers and the other with minor fabric losses to the top left figure and flowerhead beneath, as viewed.
