Condition

Executed on buff coloured paper, laid down on canvas. There is no evidence of retouching under ultra-violet light. There are some glue remnants at the edges, and the sheet is slightly time stained. Apart from a very minor surface abrasion to the white pigment on the left, and two small liquid stains in the lower left quadrant, this work is in good condition. Colours: Overall fairly accurate, although the paper tone is slightly warmer in the original, and not as yellow as it appears in the catalogue illustration.
