Condition

Generally good overall condition. There are approximately less than 10 cracked tiles to the shade. The colors of the shade are slightly brighter in person when compared with the catalogue illustration. The lamp has been largely re-leaded at which point the top ring was removed and then clumsily reattached. The restoration was rather poor in execution and there are associated replacements to the glass. The base has been re-wired, but the switches and sockets appear to be original. The lamp was converted for electricity from an oil burning lamp and this the canister was drilled ang the support post and bulb cluster were added and the patina was matched. Since the switches and sockets appear original to the period it is likely an early conversion. There is a small cap to the stem that appears to cover a hole possibly for the primary conversion to electricity. The arms are slightly askew and would benefit from adjustment. Because of this the shade and cap currently sit slightly askew. Cap has some minor denting and is not the perfect match for this lamp.
