STRUCTURE:
Unlined.
SURFACE:
One or two small areas of surface craquelure appear in the top left hand corner and on the figure, more apparent on the figure's chest. The painting appears to be clean and the surface in good, stable condition.
UV LIGHT:
Under UV Light light sweeping restorations appear in the background. Retouchings appear on the model's face, neck and chest and arms. These retouchings are where old separations have been filled and restored.
FRAME:
Contained in an elaborate plaster moulded gilt frame (slightly chipped).
COLOUR COMPARISON:
The original painting compares well to the catalogue illustration.
