Description

The necklace composed of 5 oval amethysts carved in floral motifs, joined by chased gold links similarly carved with floral clusters flanked by small quatrefoil links centering seed pearls, the earrings  formed of  2 carved amethysts suspended from gold and seed pearl chains, necklace length 17½ inches.

Condition

The earrings were probably made from segments of the necklace and were later converted. The amethysts are nicely carved on one side, and faceted on the other. Good engraving detail to both sides of the gold chaining. In good condition overall. Please note the earrings are not illustrated.
