Description

Depicting a lady in a landscape, as the personification of Diana the Huntress, in a revealing decoulté dress, with a blue shawl and leopard skin, a bow in her right hand and a quiver of arrows on her back, within an open work frame of flower and leaf decoration, set with circular-cut diamonds, diameter approximately 73mm.

Condition

Mounted in silver and gold. Very fine painting on Ivory panel. Traces of dirt under the glass, could benefit from a professional clean. Frame embellished with diamonds of mixed colours and clarities, bright and lively stones. Tarnish to silver mounting, gold backing with scratches consistent with age and wear. In good condition.
