Description

Designed as a series of graduated cabochon rubies connected by clusters of circular- and brilliant-cut diamonds, suspending a pendant centring on a pear-shaped cabochon ruby within a border of circular- and brilliant-cut diamonds, length approximately 460mm, French assay marks.

Condition

French assay marks for 18 carat gold. Pear-shape ruby cabochon, measuring approximately 32.0mm x 19.0mm x 9.5mm, weighing approximately 60.0 - 65.0 carats. Estimated total rubies weight approximately 420.0 - 425.0 carats, of strong purplish red hue, good saturation of colour. Typical inclusions visible with necked eyes. Obvious chip to reverse of a ruby cabochon, non visible when worn. Total diamond weight approximately 16.00 carats. Necklace weighing approximately 170.7 grams. Safety catch to underside of clasp. In overall good condition.
