35.5-cm brass dial, engraved silvered chapter ring with Roman numerals bearing the signature Otto V. Meurs Amsterdam, apertures for day, date, month and moonphase, subsidiaries for strike/ not strike, play/ not play, seconds and tune selection in the arch, rococo spandrels, substantial anchor movement with Dutch half hour striking on alternating bells playing one of twelve tunes with 29 hammers on 15 bells, burr walnut veneered case surmounted by three turned finials, moulded cornice with carved ornament and pierced frets above and below, break arch glazed door with brass capped columns, canted trunk with long shaped door and Europe lenticle moulded bombed base raised on claw feet
