Catalogue Note

In this scene drawn for the short-lived British periodical Night and Day, two emancipated females have invaded an all-male preserve, the American saloon.  The two women are oblivious to the anger of the males surrounding them, included the seated figure on the far right, who has pulled out his revolver.  Published in the 30 September 1937 issue.
