Catalogue Note

After Marianne Brandt left the Bauhaus she worked as chief designer for the Ruppelwerk in Gotha between 1930 and 1933.  Here she developed, based on available processing techniques, a uniform product design asserting the design concepts of the Bauhaus within an industrial enterprise. This tea caddy counts as one of her most successful designs during this period.
