représentant un couple assis dans un intérieur, la bijin avec son instrument à ses côtés, l'homme tenant une pipe avec un nécessaire à fumer sur plateau à ses côtés, l'arrière plan avec un vase fleuri posé sur une estrade en bois

Condition

The painting is of good quality although somewhat faded. The background paper is restored to the lower right corner and extensively crissed horizontally (showing on the illustration in the catalogue). The most noticeable damages are: a woodworm hole above the flower vase, a transversal surface scratch approx 5cm across the Bijin's face (visible on the illustration in the catalogue), the paper is torn on approx 2cm. above the Bijin's left knee, and horizontally on approx 3cm under the man's elbow.
