each of square form, moulded and glazed in white, green, blue, black and honey-brown and decorated with gilding, three sets of four tiles forming a radial and stellar design of interlocking polygons and hexagons, prodigious amount of original gilding, carved wooden frame
Catalogue Note
Identical tiles are in the Victoria and Albert Museum, see Ray 2000, p.329, nos. 718 and 719. The present group is remarkable for the extent of original gilding that survives.
