  • bronze, dark brown patina, on veined white marble socle

Catalogue Note

This bust of a young man probably represents the son of Dalou's London practicien, Angelo Cartioni.  The model was almost certainly created around 1878 when Dalou was working on the Monument to the Grandchildren of Queen Victoria and may have been used by the sculptor for the head of the angel.
