with a finely painted copy of Old Woman Unreeling Threads, by Gerard Dou, 1660-1665, signed l.r. Semenov and dated 1841, with blue Imperial cypher for Nicholas I
Catalogue Note
The original painting used to be in the collection of Count Cobenzl in Brussels. In 1768 it entered the collection of the Hermitage Museum in St Petersburg.
