Catalogue Note

This model was shown in a dining room that formed part of the 1906 Christmas exhibition at the Austrian Museum of Art and Industry in Vienna.  It also appeared on the cover of a 1909 Jacob & Josef Kohn catalogue.  The upholstery of the chair and the metal sabots indicate that it was not intended for the general market, but was part of a higher priced line of furnishings directed towards private offices and domestic interiors.
