33.5-cm brass dial, engraved silvered chapter ring with Roman numerals signed Bernard Scale Amsterdam and subsidiary seconds, foliate pierced hands and engraved alarm disc, apertures for date, day and moonphase in the arch, gilt foliate spandrels, anchor movement with trip repeating Dutch half hour striking on alternating bells, alarm on the large bell, burr walnut veneered case with bell top surmounted by a giltwood atlas and two angels, shaped moulded cornice with carved ornament above pierced frets to the front and sides, break arch glazed door with brass capped columns, canted trunk, shaped door with marquetry inlay and Father Time lenticle, moulded base with string inlay and curbed knees over the canted corners, raised on claw feet
