Catalogue Note

Brescianino is first recorded in Siena as working with Battista di Fruosino in the Compagnia di San Gerolamo in 1507.  Early works by the artist display the influence of Raphael, Fra Bartolommeo and Leonardo da Vinci, while his more mature works demonstrate Andrea del Sarto's influence.
