13-inch dial with rococo spandrels, foliate engraved centre with seconds dial and concentric calendar, signed John Aspinwall, Liverpool, on a sector in the arch above a silvered and painted moon disc, the hemispheres applied with a motto Time is Valuable, rack and bell striking movement, the well figured case of rich colour, blind swan neck cresting with gilt flower terminals and brass finials above fielded panels, reeded hood pillars, the trunk with bands of dentil moulding and blind fret around the top, shaped top to the trunk door flanked by similar pilasters, panelled plinth and bracket feet
