34-cm arched engraved brass dial with wheatear border, engraved chapter ring with Roman numerals signed Pieter Loggen Amsteldam, foliate pierced hands and engraved silvered alarm disc, subsidiary seconds, apertures for date and polychrome day of the week, month and moonphase in the arch, pierced rococo spandrels, movement with anchor escapement and trip repeating rack Dutch quarter striking on two bells, alarm on a bell, burr walnut veneered case with shaped hood surmounted by a gilt wood atlas and two angels, shaped cornice with carved shell ornament above foliate pierced front and side frets, the break arch glazed door with brass capped corner columns, unusual trunk with rounded corners, long arched door with chequered inlaid banding and bird inlay and Neptune lenticle, the rounded base with moulded plinth raised on claw feet
