Mickey Statue: Anita Hurst,

ANITA L. HURST was born in Frederick, Maryland and now resides in Beaverton, Oregon with her husband and two children.  After receiving her Associates Degree in Business Administration she pursued photography, entering many photography shows and art festivals.  Photography continues to be an impetus to her other art.   Anita created her new "Fruit” series with her palette knife as she enjoys creating texture with depth.  She finds it fortunate to be able to stay home with her children and paint and encourages them to become young artists.  Anita likes to bring humor through her artwork whenever she can which explains her whimsical approach to the statue design “Mickey Reigns.”
