TUCK (JAMES) MORGAN, a Disney character artist for more than 20 years, has contributed his considerable talents to a wide variety of products and major Disney initiatives including the interior and exterior façade of the first Disney Store, style guides for dozens of Disney film merchandise initiatives, character merchandise for Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort®, sculptures for Walt Disney Classics Collection and preliminary concepts for ToonTown at Disneyland. Tuck's work has ranged from the tiny Disney Babies to the 60-foot giant inflatables for Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. Tuck, who grew up in Kansas and studied at University of Kansas in Lawrence, has been drawing, "since he could write," and his quiet unassuming talent has touched the lives of thousands of children through the products his imagination and creativity have brought to life.
The original Mickey, as seen in 1928's cartoon, "Steamboat Willie" is juxtaposed against the image of the current, modern style of Mickey in Tuck's "Mickey Through the Years."
