A PAIRPOINT PATINATED METAL LAMP BASE WITH MOLDED GLASS SHADE, FIRST QUARTER 20TH CENTURY

bidding is closed

Description

  • H. 20 in.
the associated mold-blown and reverse painted poppy shade supported by a slender cylindrical gilt-metal baluster-shaped standard and round base raised on four foliate-cast turned out feet, the base marked Pairpoint MFG CO and 3047 and with a P within a lozenge.  Restorations to shade.

Condition

In generally good overall restored condition. There is a one inch by one inch section of overspray pigment to the putside of the shade that masks a resin infilled repair to the shade. The repair is well executed and not overtly visible to the untrained eye. The base has some rubbing and minor pitting to the surface as expected.
