Engraved frontispiece portrait of Crusoe, engraved foldout map in vol. 2, errata and 4-pp. advertisement in vol. 1, 11-pp. advertisement in vol. 2; last 4 quires of vol. 1 stained, scattered foxing on title and some leaves of vol. 2. Contemporary calf, not uniform, vol. 1 in a panel design, vol. 2 mottled with gilt-ruled border; upper cover of vol. 2 scuffed, and rebacked with original spine laid down. Red half morocco folding-case (vol. 1) and brown cloth folding-case (vol. 2).

A4 blank; the reading "FARTHER" on B1r; page 295 correctly numbered (a combination not noted by Hutchins).
