31-cm brass dial, engraved silvered chapter ring with Roman numerals signed Jan Heijder Amsterdam, matted centre with subsidiary seconds and date aperture, fine foliate pierced hands and engraved alarm disc, latched movement with plain square pillars, anchor escapement and rare one and one fifth second pendulum, rack hour striking and alarm on a large bell, passing half hour striking on a small bell, possibly associated walnut veneered case with shaped bell top surmounted by a later metal Atlas, Minerva and Mars with foliate frets, square glazed door, twisted corner columns, straight trunk with long rectangular door and oval lenticle, moulded rectangular base raised on bun feet
