This June, the Russian Works of Art, Fabergé and Icons sale once again illustrates the spectrum of traditional Russian craftsmanship. A variety of Fabergé includes items ranging from the small and delicate vertu pieces to the grander cloisonné enamelwork, represented by a kovsh by the famed workshop of Feodor Rückert. Quintessentially Russian enamels are also represented by craftsmen and women like Maria Semenova and Ovchinnikov. The sale is further highlighted by a selection of silver, icons and bronzes, including the monumental bronze of the Bogatyr Ilya Muromets by Evgeni Lanceray (1875-1946).
