Results: Eleven new artist records were achieved in Sotheby's Masters Week sale series, led by a newly-discovered work by Sir Peter Paul Rubens and by paintings by Adam de Coster and Willem Drost, pictured at right. The week concluded with $41.9 million in sales of paintings, drawings, and sculpture.
Auction Details: This January, Old Masters Department and Paul Kasmin Gallery present our first collaborative exhibition, Naturalia, curated by Danny Moynihan and our own, David Pollack. The show will be comprised of varied works from the 16th, 17th and 18th centuries paired with contemporary artists whose work is fundamentally concerned with the examination of natural science and its myriad presentations in art.
