Led by Chris Levine’s iconic image of The Queen, which sold for a record £187,500, the sale saw strong prices for works by the likes of L.S. Lowry, Elisabeth Frink, Henry Moore and David Hockney, and witnessed the continued insatiable demand for British studio ceramics, with 100% sold by lot, and every work by Lucie Rie exceeding its pre-sale high estimate.
