Auction Details: Featuring a variety of exceptional Chinese ceramics and works of art dating from the Neolithic to Republic periods, Important Chinese Art presents over 250 lots spanning more than 4,000 years of history. With many pieces from important private collections, offerings comprise early bronzes, Neolithic jades, Ming dynasty sculpture, lacquer, and imperial Qing porcelain, including striking monochrome and enameled wares. Highlights include a Yongzheng mark and period celadon-glazed double-gourd vase, a large and important dated Jiajing period gilt-lacquered bronze figure of Budai, a group of finely carved jades dating from the Song to Qing dynasties, and an important group of sancai vessels from an esteemed Japanese private collection.
